Scientific Atlanta’s customers in North and South America are served by an experienced team of representatives who report to Tom Nilson in his role as vice president and managing director for North and Latin America Sales. As Scientific Atlanta expands and strengthens the role it plays in helping cable operators extract more value from their networks, expand and launch new services, and manage their operations more efficiently, his sales team provides widespread expertise to help them attain their business and service objectives using the company’s transmission and subscriber products and systems, and broadband support services.

His sales management role for North America expanded in 1998 and responsibility for Latin America sales was added in 2003. Prior to that, he served in a variety of sales positions at Scientific Atlanta between 1989 and 1998. His sales career began in 1979 at AT&T, and other assignments included sales management at Hawaiian Telephone/GTE and regional sales management at Compression Labs.
Nilson, who joined Scientific Atlanta in 1989, holds both a BA and MA in management from the University of New Mexico.
