and content delivery," said Michael Harney, president of Subscriber Networks,
Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco company. "Cisco and Scientific Atlanta's solutions

At the Cisco and Scientific Atlanta booth, 2044, demonstrations include
solutions that extend and scale the network, from switched digital video and
universal session resource management to advanced video compression (AVC)
encoding and data over cable service interface specification (DOCSIS®) 3.0
channel bonding. The companies will also showcase solutions that shape the
Connected Life and provide service flexibility including their next-generation
OpenCable Applications Platform (OCAP™)-ready set-tops, separable security
set-tops to meet the July 2007 FCC deadline, exciting new OCAP applications,
cross-platform video and navigation solutions along with voice, high-speed data
and wireless gateway products.
In the content delivery arena, Cisco and Scientific Atlanta will highlight
personalized and on-demand services, video to the set-top, personal computer
(PC) and mobile devices, addressable advertising and Internet video services.
Internet streaming will be introduced on the Cisco Content Delivery System,
enabling Video 2.0 experiences across a wide range of devices.
"Video 2.0 is changing the face of television by creating dynamic, personalized
multimedia experiences and generating new revenue opportunities for service
providers," said Paul Bosco, vice president of cable and video initiatives,
Cisco. "To further escalate the advantages of Video 2.0 services, Cisco has
added Internet streaming capabilities to its Content Delivery System. By
extending streaming capabilities to the set-top and IP devices, service
providers can offer a wide spectrum of next-generation, value-added video
entertainment services."
Cisco and Scientific Atlanta also launched today three audio podcast features
