Broadband Network Controller Certification Program
Level 2
Description
The Broadband Network Controller Certification (BNCC) designation
demonstrates the ability to configure, provision, and provide
broadcast, interactive, and secure services to Digital Home
Communications Terminals using the Digital Broadband Delivery System
(DBDS).
Level 2 Certification is earned by
passing a 4-6 hour practical exam administered by qualified
Scientific Atlanta DBDS Representatives.
The certification testing is conducted at the Scientific Atlanta Training Center
in Lawrenceville, Georgia. SciCare Training maintains a fully dedicated training
laboratory under controlled conditions to administer the testing.
Potential candidates must pass the written exam and earn Level 1
Certification prior to scheduling the practical exam for Level 2
Certification.
To successfully pass the practical
examination, candidates must complete all tasks correctly.
Requirements
Prerequisites are not required for any candidate. However,
SciCare Training highly recommends attendance in the
Activating and Operating Digital Subscriber Networks and the
Advanced DBDS Troubleshooting courses.
The certification requires knowledge and skills in the use of Sun
Solaris UNIX, data network switching, and Informix database
management.
