Monitor & Control

TNCS provides you the ability not only to monitor the status and health of your broadband network; it provides you the ability to control your network. Scientific Atlanta's TNCS will continuously interface with all of the Headend and Transmission equipment and present the following information in easy to use and understand graphic user interfaces (GUI):

  • the current alarm status of each piece of equipment
  • the current measured performance of each piece of equipment
  • a history of alarms for each piece of equipment

In addition TNCS will supply you with the ability to:

  • set up and / or change the configuration of equipment remotely
  • provide out of chassis backup
  • customize how your equipment is displayed in the GUIs
  • perform scheduled events and automated functions
  • convert proprietary protocols to SNMP

All of this information and capabilities can be accessed from a centralized location like a Network Operations Center or from the headend or hub where the equipment resides. TNCS uses a multi-client / multi-server architecture that offers superior flexibility.
