TNCS
Software
The TNCS software consists of a client software package and a
server software package.
Client Package
The client package provides the user interface, including the
following:
- Tree control
- Graphic displays
- Display based alerting
functions, including alarm annunciation, flashing,
promotion, and alarm acknowledgement
- Historical log of alarm
events
Server Package
The server package does the following:
- Implements the data base
- Monitors and controls
connected equipment
- Provides an interface to one
or more clients
- Provides alarm alerting via
pagers, SMS (Europe) and e-mail
- Provides SNMP services
